It is Sunday Again, Did You Detox Your Tresses Yet?

Weekdays wreak havoc on my hair. Hair dryers, flat irons, volumizing mousse, volumizing spray, heat protectant, dry shampoo, sea salt texturizing spray, conditioners, hair masks, oh yeah all of ‘em. You name it and there’s a pretty good chance that it might have gone into my hair on one or the other days. They do certainly go in but do they come out?

Well doing some vague calculation as to how much time I spend taking a shower and how much cleaning the scalp, I can agree that there must be a lot of residue build-up in my scalp considering I am out of shower in under 7 minutes(don't judge, don't judge! I am turbo fast ).

By the end of the week, my hair begin to get limp and lifeless because of too much product buildup, so I rotate a clarifying and decongestant shampoo to remove hair damaging residue amid my usual everyday ritual . On Sundays, I drag out my detoxifying shampoo off the bathroom shelves and go into Full Detox. No other sort of hair product dare touch me that day. A detoxifying shampoo, a good massage to the scalp and my scalp becomes squeaky clean.

There are many options available and you can pick as you please. My favourite of the bunch is from Phyto and it is a Clarifying Detox Shampoo with Eucalyptus essential oil. It has a highly concentrated formula (Eucalyptus, Ferula, Sage, Chamomile, Hypericum, and Witch Hazel) that purifies the hair fiber and stimulates the scalp eliminating whatever residue is left from cruelties done during the week. And boy does it smell good, very therapeutic and soothing. It is rich in hydrating and softening plant extracts and I just love how it leaves my hair supple, shiny, rejuvenated and ready for the week to come.

I picked up mine from feelunique.com and they deliver for free over 10 GBPs.
