A Genuine Multi Tasking Product that Got Me Easily Devoted to SPF Protection
Today’s post is about a realistic and simplistic primer/moisturiser/SPF protection product that I am in love with and haven’t skipped using regardless of time constraint or change of weather.
I have quite a few primers lying around my make-up stash but for the past 6 months, every morning when it is time to get dressed for office and make myself look human, there is one product that just gets picked up by default. It is a multi-tasking product just like riding two horses with a single saddle. Mecca’s To Save Face SPF 30+ not just provides SPF protection but hydrates and primes the skin.
Well ask someone like me, who has 3 different alarms set at 6:15 am, 6:30 am and 6:45 am but hardly gets up until 7:10 and still catches the 7:55 train to work and has to squeeze the entire morning routine including breakfast and packing lunch in that time frame, the importance of something that I whack on and just forget. This product has been a saviour since the day it arrived, a master piece in terms of SPF texture and a real treat in terms of hydrating primer. I bought it at the peak of summers and we are now in autumn here is Sydney and it still feels right for the skin.
Every morning after I have done my serums and eye creams, this goes on followed by a dab of concealer and foundation here and there and I am all set for the day. There’s mascara thrown in somewhere as well.
When I say it is a masterpiece in terms of texture, you’d have to give it a try to feel its sheer goodness. Not even a tad bit greasy for normal/combination/dry skin. I am sure that the oiliest of us out there can easily get away with blotting their noses in the peak summers. It just feels like a very light weight SPF that you won’t even realise just went onto your skin (now that is a huge compliment for an SPF!) and acts as the sealing layer of hydration and base before you do your make-up. It comes in two variants, 30+ and 50+ and both have exactly the same formula except the SPF coverage they provide. I am medium-olive toned and most of the sunscreens go white or ashy on me including the cult Ultra-Light Daily Defence SPF 50 from Kiehl’s one but this one somehow astoundingly just adheres and stays true to the skin tone.
Seeing how good the range was, I jumped at the offer of saving 7 or 10 bucks when I bought To Save Eyes SPF 30+ eye cream along with the sunscreen. An SPF 30 protection for eyes that is hydrating and nourishing and keeps the puffiness away with a shot of caffeine, now who doesn't need that.
I don’t see myself in the SPF market anytime soon as this is the product I am really content with and I know is right for me.
