Who Could Resist Something Called Drops of Youth?
These days I am having a bit of a moment with my skincare stash that primarily consists of green and saffron tinted packaging. Green is Body Shop’s Drops of Youth range and Saffron is their Oils of Life range and without any embellishments, I am seriously in love with my latest routine. This post is an out-and-out praise of the green pots of sheer amazingness.
Who could resist this packaging in their sane mind. My first purchase was very much inspired by the packaging and when I read this brilliance of a name i.e "Drops of Youth", I was drawn to it even more. The lady at the store told me all about the Plant Stem Cell technology and how they harness it in labs and by the end of it, I was pretty converted that I needed these drops full of youth in my life.
DROPS OF YOUTH™ ESSENCE LOTION - This is a genius substitute for a toner. A gel to water formulation means I don’t duck away when it is time to find that darn cotton pad every morning. It goes on a bit tacky but give it a minute to dry and show its magic. On time pressed mornings, this is easy to use just like a serum and leaves the skin super smooth and feeling fresh and moist. The real verdict came very unexpected when my husband said that his moisturiser stayed longer during the day when he used this under his moisturiser. For me that itself spoke for the goodness of this product.
DROPS OF YOUTH™ BOUNCY SLEEP MASK – My fondness for the essence made me google this range and the bouncy sleep mask came over and over again. The beauty community seemed to love it and a quick read of the nitty-gritty on bodyshop’s website convinced me that I needed some more Edelweiss stem cells in my skin care routine. The bouncy mask has a very unique consistency; it is tacky but feels fresh on the face. The idea behind this is same as the Origin’s Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask but I like the sniff and sound of bouncy sleep mask better than the origins. The whole collection has a cooling effect on the skin and floods the skin with moisture that keeps it feeling plumper and healthier. The range works to minimize the pores and make the skin look smoother.
DROPS OF YOUTH™ YOUTH CREAM – This purchase was bound to happen after I had dipped my mitts in some edelweiss stem cell goodness. Now I wanted to try something for day time to see how it helped my skin to retain moisture during the day in hard air conditioning environments of my office. It is a whipped face cream that’s feels very light on the face and leaves the skin feeling velvet soft. The essence topped with this cream and a hydrating primer under my makeup is sufficient to make my skin look bright and awake till the end of the day.
The Drops of Youth and the Oils of Life range pretty much sums up my skincare these days and has changed the way my skin feels throughout the day. Body shop has hit a home run with these new ranges and I see myself using them for years to come. The Oils of Life range is another post in itself and I am still musing whether I need to buy the new sleeping cream before I write that post.
